Time

At the beginning there was peace by lack of information, now there is pain by information overflow. Time is what ties now an tomorrow as the knot loses his strength to yesterday. We are sick of time as time has lost the coherence it once had. The time of the sun and the moon, the time for seeding, growing and harvesting are lost. Now, around us there is time flowing at different speeds. It’s the time of instant messaging, accelerated downloads or VoIP calls. Lost in this uncertain flow the mind loses the grip on it’s flow. This time cannot understand the time to cook a meal or to light a fire. Yow accelerate to work, and work speeds everything up, then you are expected to suddenly slow down and relax. But the time of relaxing it’s only the time of a beat as you cannot switch time channels as a mechanic clock piece changes gears with the sound of the bell. Someone lives in the time of reading a book, and another in the time of 5 minute break. One runs faster and one slows down and yet you are in line with both. As the flow takes you, you end up stranded on strange places which you cannot understand. You end up years after without a memory to grasp to or you end up empty of all time. And people around you seems to have aged as other seem to have got younger. Your mind accelerates while the body craves for a slowdown. As the world changes at different paces, how can one cope with all the rhythms, the accelerations and decelerations?

In the end it’s reduced to the same n+1 problem as the importance is to find the speed in that +1 dimension which belongs only to you. Then you have the unique frequency which defines you, which is perfect and to which you can always refer when puzzled and confused by the speed around, the metronome of your time.
