It took a snowy day to make me look into the buffer of unprocessed photos and bring something out. Here are the pulpitos: small roasted squid.
N-am mai pozat/gatit de ceva vreme dar unul din lucrurile care imi lipsesc cel mai tare de fiecare data cand ma intorc din Franta este boulangeria de la fiecare colt de strada, croissantul cu migdale (si ciocolata) si alte minunatii pacatoase. Asa ca din gand in gand combinat cu un weekend ploios am reusit sa duc la implinire o bunatate de flan auriu cu aroma de vanilie.
TORT, torturi, s. n. Prăjitură (de obicei de formă cilindrică) făcută din mai multe straturi de aluat, având între ele straturi de cremă, de dulceață etc., acoperită cu o glazură sau cremă ornamentală etc. (sursa: dex).
Din pacate nu stiu nici o sursa unde pot sa gasesc o felie de tort care sa respecte definitia de mai sus. Majoritatea “torturilor” din cofetarii consta intr-o matrita de plastic in care s-a turnat o crema groasa si sunt acoperite cu un strat de alta culoare. Asa ca am profitat de noul an ca un motiv perfect pentru un tort. Rezultatul, chiar daca nu foarte spectaculos vizual respecta definitia de mai sus si in plus a fost si foarte bun.
I ended up with this recipe after searching for a nice holiday gift for my friends and the result was well received ;) Actually I did some tests and I migrated from cinnamon rolls to cinnamon, raisins rolls and finally to poppy seeds rolls cookies.
Some days I go to the fish market an cannot stop buying around: small fish, calamari, squid, fish fillet, roe. Then all I need is a bit of corn flour, a bit of regular flour, salt, pepper and some spices for a nice crust and some patience to cut the onion for the roe salad. Add a nice tomato salad and some white bread and I’ve made my day.

I was wondering what jambalaya is so I found it. In fact I could be rude and call it a shrimp pilaf in my case since I did not had any raw shrimps to boil and use the stock for the rice. Instead I just added the shrimps at the end.
I try to keep away from pretentious recipes titles but this describes the best this somewhat simple but very lengthy recipe. I did not had much time lately to cook, shoot or write about food but after eating pizza with coke on Saturday I decided to take some measures. So, I remembered a beef bone with meat I had bought a while ago which was perfect for the task.
