Ro: mancare de linte

A very simple, fasting friendly dish.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 carrots
  • 250g red lentils

Preparation

  • clean the carrots and cut them in round pieces
  • boil the carrots in water just to cover them until the ebullition
  • add the lentils, salt and pepper
  • stir from time to time, add more water until the lentils are soft. Don’t over cook as the lentils tends to crumble into a soft paste
  • enjoy

Alternatively you might want to serve with sausages or with a bit of “turta”.
