Bean with sausages

(Almost)home made smoked sausages are usually available only during the winter holidays when most dishes are pork based and the people prepare the sausages by them self. There is no comparison with the commercial versions and I really enjoy when I find some sausages of this type in the winter markets. This is just one of the dishes which can use these highly flavored sausages. They also come in many varieties: pork with basil, pork with sheep, sheep with beef, more or less smoked, etc....

Friptura de porc la cuptor

O reteta de iarna tocmai buna pentru masa de craciun: Friptura de porc la cuptor Ingrediente 1 kg de muschi/file de porc complet dezghetat putina slanina putina carne afumata condimente: usturoi, cimbru, piper, coriandru garnitura: cartofi sau ciuperci Metoda carnea se curata foarte bine si se impaneaza cu slanina, carne afumata si usturoi se presara cu condimente (sarea eu o pun la sfarsit) cartofii se amesteca cu cimbru, sare, piper coriandru si putin ulei se pun la cuptor pentru 20 – 30 minute sau pana carnea devine foarte moale si alba (se testeaza cu o furculita care trebuie sa intre usor)....

Mujaddara

Cautand idei pentru retete cu linte am gasit ceva ce incercasem mai demult fara sa stiu ca are numele de Mujaddara. De data asta am gasit proportiile si gustul perfect impreuna cu carne de berbecut. Mujaddara Ingrediente 1/2 cana orez 1 cana linte 2 cepe mari 2 catei usturoi zeama de la 1/2 lamaie Metoda se pun la fiert 4 cani apa cu sare si piper se adauga lintea intre timp se spala foarte bine orezul se lasa sa dea un clocot pentru ca lintea fierbe mai greu decat orezul se adauga orezul si se mesteca din timp in timp adaugand apa daca mai e nevoie intre timp se taie cepele si se calesc in ulei de masline impreuna cu cateii de usturoi se mesteca alternativ ceapa si orezul cu lintea....

Sushi rolls

In primul rand, multumiri lui Fry pentru articolul atat motivational cat si foarte folositor. A trecut o multime de timp de cand am mancat pentru prima data sushi si in tot acest timp nu m-am gandit niciodata cat de simplu este de facut. In Franta colegii nu ma prea intelegeau de ce frecventez atat de des restaurantul japonez de langa birou insa in timp ce pentru ei era ceva super comun pentru mine era ceva “super” caci din pacate la noi e mult prea greu si scump sa mananci sushi, ca de altfel multe alte tipuri de mancaruri diferite de friptura cu cartofi prajiti....

Chicken with preserved lemons and couscous

Mancare marocana de lamai murate cu couscous. Updated: 2011-10-01 2008-02-20 with some new photos for this dish which I now prepare on a regular basis. Ever since I returned from a few days trip to Morocco I have tried to reproduce a dish which I liked a lot there: chicken with preserved lemons. I had several unsuccessful tries with fresh lemons but the result was too sour. So in order to prepare this dish I required preserved lemons....
